Othen
Make decisions with AIand people who know you.
For decisions that are too personal for AI alone and too complicated for a group chat. Othen structures the reasoning, brings in perspective from the people who know you or the situation, and turns it into one clear recommendation.
The problem
Good advice is usually scattered.
You ask an AI and get a thoughtful answer — but it doesn't know your history, your patterns, or what the people involved are really like. You text a friend. They know you, but only hear part of the situation. Another friend says the opposite. Soon you have more opinions and no better process. The problem isn't a lack of advice. It's that the reasoning and the personal context never come together.
The idea
AI can reason. Your people know the context.
Othen uses AI to clarify what you're actually deciding, surface the tradeoffs, and ask the questions that could change the answer. Then you invite one or two people who know you or the situation — each gets a private, focused question, not a group chat. Othen brings the analysis and their perspective together into one clear recommendation, with the reasoning, uncertainty, and conditions behind it. You still make the decision. You just don't have to think through it alone.
How Othen works
Four small steps. Fifteen minutes, usually.
- 01
Describe the decision
A paragraph in your own words is plenty. Messy is fine — that's the starting condition, not a problem to fix.
- 02
Answer a few useful questions
Not a form. Othen asks the questions that would actually change your answer, one at a time.
- 03
Invite one or two people who'd know
Each person gets one focused question, tailored to what they know. No account. They never see each other's answers.
- 04
Get one clear next move
AI weighs their reads alongside its own thinking and gives you a call you can act on — plus what it's built on and what's still unknown.
The part that makes it different
You bring in the people who actually know.
AI can think through the decision. Your people know you, the context, and what's really going on. Othen brings both in — without turning it into a group chat.
A private note from a friend
Max wants your read on something.
You were invited because you may know something important about this decision. One question. One answer. No account.
One question
Based on what you've seen, does Max realistically have capacity to launch this without dropping something important?
Each person answers privately. Othen handles the rest.
What Othen is for
Should I take this opportunity? Which project should I focus on? Should I launch this, or wait? Should I keep working with this person?
Should I move? Should I change direction? Am I rushing this? What am I not seeing?
What it isn't
Not a chatbot. You don't come here for conversation. You come here to think one thing through.
Not for legal, medical, or emergencies. Those get flagged for a qualified professional instead of a confident-sounding answer.
Not group decision software. You stay the one who decides. The people you invite give you their read — not a vote.
Private by default
Built for decisions you don't want to say out loud yet.
You don't need an email or password to start. Othen mints a private key that lives in your browser — that's what proves the decision is yours.
Invited people answer through a one-time private link. They never see each other's answers unless you show them. You can display names, keep contributors anonymous, or hide them entirely.
Your words are used to answer your decision, not to train anyone's model.
What's the one you keep going back and forth on?
Start with a paragraph. Say it however it lives in your head — Othen takes it from there.
You stay the one who decides. Othen makes sure you decided with your eyes open.
